Dr. Koplyay has developed and delivered over 50 courses on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, IPO, venture capital financing and incubation, focusing primarily on high tech industry for executive audiences in Canada, Hong Kong and Europe. He has supervised over 100 hundred consulting assignments in the Executive MBA program, resulting in 50 published cases and consulting advice to the client companies including: Nortel, Cognos, Mitel, Corel, Calian, Newbridge, QNX, World Heart, Bombardier, Compaq, Dell, Entrust, Biovail, Alliance Atlantis, Philsar, Fulcrum, Rebel.com, Computing Devices Canada, Maclaren Industries, and C-Tech Ltd. Dr. Koplyay is regularly consulted by major media outlets on issues concerning the high tech industry. Among others, he has given over a 100 media interviews on high tech topics to: CBC-Venture, Radio Canada, The New RO TV, The Ottawa Citizen, Canadian Business Magazine, TV Ontario, CTV, CBC Newsday and CBC National News. An alliance builder, Dr. Koplyay has championed cooperative relations between the University of Québec and business and economic development organizations such as the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATAAlliance), Ottawa Center for Research and Innovation (OCRI) and the Université du Québec. Fluent in English, French, and Hungarian, Dr. Koplyay regularly travels to Asia and Europe on teaching and consulting assignments and enjoys a well-developed international perspective for business success.
