Programs & Initiatives

OCRI Life Sciences serves the Life Science and Biotechnology communities through programs and initiatives designed to impact the growth of our local industry and aid in supporting Ottawa and Eastern Ontario companies and institutions as a leader in the Global Marketplace. These programs and initiatives include professional development and networking events, business development networks in the cleantech, medical device, convergent and drug discovery areas, BioNorth, and other commercialization services.

OCRI Life Sciences has a number of initiatives focused on promoting, and developing specific sectors within Ottawa’s life science and biotechnology industries. The business development networks achieve this through connecting industry, academia and government to advance the cluster’s competitiveness and to support the creation of new business ventures.

The Ottawa Cleantech Initiative is committed to promoting and strengthening the clean technology industry in the Ottawa and Eastern Ontario region connecting suppliers, companies, communities, universities, research institutions, funding bodies and policy makers along the path from innovation to commercialization.
