How to Access Our Services
OCRI Investment and Commercialization resources are customized to fit the unique circumstances of each company we serve. Requests for all services are managed by application to ensure that companies receive access to all available resources that OCRI and its partners can offer.
There are three simple steps to help companies access our resources:
1. Submit a Business Information Form
The business information form can be completed online or can be obtained through the network managers of OCRI’s organized networks and clusters as well as at the Entrepreneurship Centre and through OCRI’s Business Development Officers.
Completed business information forms provide business advisors with basic information related to the company, management, market, and the challenges at hand. Forms are reviewed by OCRI’s Investment and Commercialization Group on a bi-weekly basis and an OCRI lead is assigned to each company. All companies will be contacted for follow up.
2. Meet with a Business Advisor
Companies that meet the basic criteria for assistance will be invited to meet with a business advisor and other members of the investment and commercialization team. At this informal meeting, information submitted on the business information form is reviewed and the needs and challenges of the company are assessed.
Business advisors will begin to identify which resources, both within, and outside of the OCRI Investment and Commercialization Group may be most appropriate and effective.
3. Get OCRI’s Investment and Commercialization Programs Working for You! Now that the company’s needs are assessed, business advisors work with the company to identify and allocate resources. This may be as simple as providing strategic advice on company challenges and issues, or working with the Manager, Market Intelligence to identify resources from this areas that may be appropriate and timely. Companies generally work with business advisors and mentors on a short-term basis, leveraging other programs, services and resources to ensure maximum benefit from the process. |
