Scott Lake is a serial entrepreneur. Since getting into high tech, he has co-founded four start-ups and worked at a fifth. He is currently working on two companies squarely in the social media space. He is founder of ThinkSM a Social Media Consultancy, and SWIX a social media monitoring company. His most notable success to date has been as co-founder and former CEO of Shopify.com
These days he’s also very passionate about the Ottawa software start-up scene and runs a popular blog called StartupOttawa.com. In past lives, he’s been a bike messenger, a university lecturer and a professional driver at NATO in Belgium.

Luc has lead the creation of several award winning products such as the Traveler IQ Challenge (Canadian New Media Award for Excellent in Social Media) and TravelPod (“Top 100 sites you can’t live without” - PC Magazine).
Luc stays involved with the start-up community by coaching young start-ups, presenting, hosting and attending start-up events and blogging on StartupOttawa.com.
When he’s not working Luc stays busy obsessing over new ideas, traveling (or dreaming about travel) and being a new dad.
