Rick DalmazziMagmic Mobile Entertainment – Ottawa’s Digital Media Darling!

Speaker

Rick Dalmazzi
President & COO
Magmic Inc.

Keynote Summary

Analyst firm FutureSource estimates that the mobile applications market grew to $10 billion in 2009, and predicts it will surpass $35 billion by 2013.  The phenomenal success of Apple’s iPhone has produced a determined response from RIM, Google and Microsoft as each company stakes its claim to mobile platform dominance.

Magmic has been developing games and other mobile entertainment content since 2002, and is recognized worldwide as a leading publisher and retailer of cell phone and smart phone applications.  With offices in Ottawa, Vancouver, New York and Los Angeles, it boasts partnerships with some of the most recognized media brands in the industry, including Disney and The New York Times.

Come hear the story of one of Ottawa’s most fascinating technology companies as it combines creative talent with technical ingenuity to partner with, and compete against, the giants of digital media.
