Speaker:

Dr. Daniel J. Caron

Keynote Summary:

Digital technology has radically changed the practices and expectations of memory institutions such as the Library and Archives of Canada. Their role is to preserve our collective memory and make it accessible. Join Dr. Daniel Caron, Librarian and Archivist of Canada, as he discusses the challenges presented by the acquisition and management of memory in an environment that combines our analogue past with our digital present in an increasingly complex society.  Learn about how the ICT community can help preserve our national memory.
